Mini Fútbol
Inspired by Jon’s experience as a father, Mini Fútbol keeps the ball at the heart of a child’s first soccer experience.
ABOUT GFR · SINCE 2014
What began with individual player development in 2014 has grown into a complete pathway—from a child’s first relationship with the ball to the tactical demands of competitive soccer.
OUR STORY
The story of Get Fútbol Ready began in 2014, when families started seeking out Coach Jon for individualized training beyond their regular club environment. As his teams competed successfully at state, national, and international levels, more players wanted that same thoughtful, personal approach.
In 2021, GFR expanded into Miami schools through PE classes. Soccer after-school programs followed, opening the door to a broader pathway shaped by Jon’s experience as a coach—and by what he learned as a father.
GFR did not begin with a list of services. Each program grew from something we experienced firsthand with players, schools, or our own family.

Born from GFR’s popular PE classes, LMA builds movement foundations children can use across many sports.
Built from elite-youth and professional-game experience, IDP turns real match evidence into tactical growth.
Every GFR program responds to a real need: helping children enjoy movement, giving families a dependable experience, and helping competitive players understand and improve their game.
The GFR story began in 2014 with individualized player development. In 2021, the company expanded into Miami schools through PE classes and later after-school programs.
GFR was founded by Coach Jon Colino, a U.S. Soccer A License coach with more than a decade of experience in academy, elite-youth, USL W, and professional Division I women’s soccer environments.
Every program is designed around the needs of the player in front of us: clear teaching, close attention, age-appropriate challenge, and a purposeful next step.
